However, the west side of Toontown is rather sad. Goofy's Playhouse seems to be the equivelent of DCA's Golden Zenphir, as everytime i went by the house was closed.
I walked through Donald's boat, which is very nice from the exterior and the water falls are beautiful, but it is basically nothing in the interior. They even turned off the horn again, i guess for the snow white show. Interestingly, on the Disneyland website it still lists climbing on the rope ladder, going down the spiral stairs, and tooting the horn, all of which you can't do anymore.
Gadget's coaster, is a waste of time. i have never had any interest in riding this attraction.
The treehouse is bad as everyone says it is. Basically they should call this attraction the stair attraction, because that is all it is. there is not a view from the top.
LIke i said i think Toontown has so much pontential. architecturally, it is fascinating. there is alot of whimsy and the background music is great.
If i ran disneyland i think a major goal would be to tear down everything in west toontown, maybe sparing the mouse's houses. maybe put in a better kids rollercoater. put in mickey's philharmagic. just make the land alot more fun. thoughts?

I don't feel Gadget's Coaster is a waste of time. It's the perfect introduction for a child's very first coaster ride.

Now, I can't believe that they actually use Toontown Madness as a selling point for certain packages. "Oh boy, we get exclusive use of Toontown for an hour." Five minutes later, "OK, let's go."

But the one in Tokyo still has all the features that ours opened with, so we're just awkwardly in the middle.

Donald's boat needs to have something done with it. It needs to have some kind of interactivity like it did before, but make it more safe I guess.

The treehouse... This needs to be moved over next to Donald's boat and Goofy's house and have a slide added on. Where the treehouse is now can be the entrance to Mickey's Philarmagic.

Toontown definitely caters to toddlers - the rides, the whole whimsical architecture, and even the size of it (not too big). I don't think they should change anything. Glad they got rid of that trolley though!

But its all good for the kids but I think Toontown can open many doors for adults to enjoy. I also think that they should open up a character restaurant there & what I have in mind is the House of Mouse kinda thing where all the toons are put together & put one heck of a show. That will have tons of people entertained with lunch & a show.

i am not againt Chip and Dale Treehouse. i think they could make a fun attraction out of it. maybe add a view. maybe you could have spy glasses like found of tom sawyer island. or just have more props to it. I think the only prop is a picutre of Chip and Dale. We know Disney can do good walk thru walk throughs, look at Swiss Family/tarzan tree house. Heck, even Minnie's house has more to do than the chip and dale tree.
Donald's boat needs to have it horn back. who cares if it disturbs the Snow White show. i looked at the description of this same attraction in Tokyo Disneyland and they show Donald duck movies. maybe that is something they can do here. There is really no place to do that anymore. The Main Street Theater and Mickey's house show Mickey cartoons. Disney channel definately doesn't show traditional disney cartoon anymore. I think kids would get a kick out of seeing some donald duck cartoons.
Gadgets Go Coaster could be themed to Donald, pluto or goofy or any character more familar than gadget. maybe keep the track the same grades, but make it a bit longer and add some more props
Goofy's house, the little playground is ok, if it is ever open. However, the house has very minimal items in it. maybe add some interactive items in the house. maybe show some goofy cartoons.
LIke i said I think Toontown is a fun land with lots of pontential. but they are just not using that potential.

I guess what works for some ages can be seen as really boring by others, and maybe that's why Toontown still works for the young crowd.

Just goes to show that nobody really knows who Gadget is, and they need to work on the theme a little. Heck, they could make it Pluto's Go-Coaster for all I care, but I think they should keep the name with something that most people can at least identify.

I think the queue for Roger Rabbit helps set up the feeling, so people in the ride understand what is happening, without ever seeing the movie.
