I liked the room service breakfast. As I recall it wasn't too badly priced and provided a lot of food for the $. We also picked up a Mickey Chicken Nuggets and Fries from the PCH Grill for my son for lunch on the way up for naptime. There was enough food in that kids meal for an adult and then some. I confess to snacking a bit while waiting for my dear husband to come back from Red Rocketts Pizza Port with our pasta to split, And they included the cutest little ketchup and mustard bottles! I've heard complaints about elevator wait time in the past, but we encountered no difficulties. We also had a nice Pool View Room where we got to see people having a lot of fun.

We often order room service when we get back to the room late and it is always delicious and fresh. We use the room pretty much just to sleep in because we spend all day at the parks, so it is a real value for us because it is the least expensive of the three Disney hotels. We love it there and plan to stay there the next time we visit Disneyland. Like I said, we use the hotel mainly for sleep, so the extra consierge expense is not something we indulge in. We've had a park view and a pool view and they are nice, but I don't spend too much time looking at the window :), we've just been upgraded when we checked in a couple times. The pool is really fun, my kids love the water slide. All in all we really enjoy it there.

Also, you can see the fireworks from the pool deck of the hotel, and they pipe in the music of the fireworks show. Its not as good as seeing it from the park, but its alot less crowded! Its nice to grab a drink and relax and watch the show from there without all the hussle and bussle of the crowds.
I'll be there on the 9th too - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good weather!!

We found the CM's at the hotel to be very friendly and very welcoming.
We had a Theme park view on the 14th floor and the view was stunning!

I'm sure you are going to have a great time at this hotel! :)

Adding to my dissatisfaction is the SLOW elevator service and the nonexistent grounds and seeing DLH right there but out of "reach". But compared to when we stay at cheap surrounding motels, PPH is nice. I mean, PPH is not bad, it's just no DLH to me.

Let's see, the store in the lobby is nicely stocked with all things Disney as well as things you might forget from home.

The coffee/bar area isn't usually crowded. You can get something to drink on your way up to your room.
When we were there in Dec. they were serving lunch items there.

Beware of room service hours. We tried to order something during the day and were surprised to find that it wasn't offered at that time of day :(

I like conceirge at PPH over DLH as you don't have to worry about walking from another tower. Conceirge staff was always attentive and when we have splurged on it we seemed to be the only people in the lounge. You can also walk up the one flight of stairs to conceirge and not have to wait for the elevator.

The coffee makers are one :( I bring my own.

I would take the PPH over the DLH from now on but it's personal taste isn't it.

We used the glass elevator and had no troubles at the PPH from the 14th floor and didn't have to wait long at all during the busy Christmas time.
Not many people used that elevator for some reason.
We would walk across to the GCH and the special entrance into DCA, which was quick and easy.
The one day we went from the DLH lobby after looking around at the Christmas decorations, it seemed to be a much longer walk then from the PPH.

Our fav hotel is still the GCH as we have stayed there three times now, so if we can afford it we would go back there first choice and PPH second choice! :)
