So the fact this question is being asked demonstrates they do not understand the releases and therefore would not benefit. Better to get a uk one, and they are likely to come down in price next year.

Are there any games that are coming out for the ps3 that make it would upgrading?/ THe kids have liked some of the wii games but not all - so we rent them first and if they like them enough the buy them - we have the blockbuster mail thingy so we get a free game rental each month...
Originally Posted By avromark Again depends on their genre. Between the male children in my family, we have a uh rather large library of games for all the systems. I personally think the Sixaxis design should have been scrapped 3 systems ago. The 360 controller is immensely better. The 14 yr old I think has a total of about 3 games he uses on the PS/3, our 360 library is over 90 games. If you do buy the PS/3 get the extra cooling unit that attaches to the back and be prepared to listen to higher volumes (to cover the sound of the system) both mine and A's are very loud. I like the Wii for the non traditional games ie Cooking Mama, but that's just me. Your mileage may vary. The odd thing is the 14 yr old is a Sony fanboy. (Hey he took my Bravia off my hands, now I have a very nice Regza and don't miss the Sony TV one iota).

But they really dont have any exclusive games and you can get about 95% o them on the 360.

Oh and it suffers from the original X-Box big heavy black thing syndrome. (Funny how this was a huge complaint from PS/2 fans about the original X-Box but a non issue for the PS/3).
