It was my first time staying there (previous stays have been at the Paradise Pier), and I loved it. It was like an oasis of calm every time we stepped through the gates leaving the hustle and bustle of Downtown Disney.

During the week we dined at the Napa Rose, which was fantastic, Carnation Cafe for breakfast (met Oscar), the blue Bayou, and a number of times at Storytellers.

Attraction wise Finding Nemo, Pirates Lair and Midway Mania were both new to me. Nemo I had mixed feelings about, it was a good attraction, but it came up short of being a great one. Pirates lair was an enjoyable detour from the rest of the park, the caves were great, and the entertainment very enjoyable. Midway Mania was lots of fun, and had the longest queue of any of the attractions in my experience throughout my stay.

I really enjoyed the new Pixar Parade at DCA, lots of fun, very colorful, but I just wish there were more bubbles and less jets of water!

We took the Walk in Walts footsteps tour, to be honest I really didn't learn anything new, but it was enjoyable none the less. I think the highlight for me was walking across Town Square with Julie Andrews singing "Feed the Birds" in my headphones. I guess I could have saved the $60 cost and brought my own ipod in :) Still, my sisters really enjoyed it, and got a lot out of it.

I really missed "The Disney gallery", the new location in the Opera House only houses a fraction of the old gallery, here's hoping they open a more permanent location soon.

I loved the new monorails, they look so stylish, and enjoyed my air-conditioned ride in the nose of Monorail blue.

I still think "Remember" is Disney's best ever fireworks show, and it saddens me to think I'll probably never see it again.

My trip to Disneyland was upstaged a few days later though, when I was lucky enough to enjoy a day at the Walt Disney Studios. It's a day I'll never forget......dining at the Rotunda (Dick cook two tables away), wandering the hallways of the Roy O building and the Animation building.... and just exploring the backlot etc. Still have to pinch myself!

I uploaded some photos from Disneyland, they are in no real order I'm afraid.

I've had the camera now for a nearly a year, it's taking a bit tweaking and figuring things out, but I'm pretty confident with it now.
