I am in charge of organizing a family trip that includes one day at DL for six (ages 11-47), Monday June 19th. (Also DL for four, ages 2-72, Monday; and DCA for four, ages 11-44, on Tuesday.) I have done research, including Touring Lines Plans. Not sure if I need Ride Max. It is attractive that you can edit your plan the day of on your phone... My family all say my plans are surely efficient enough. But I know 10/10 crowds and heat. Thoughts?
I don't have any experience with Ride Max. All those people...DL...THE HEAT.... I will say a prayer for you.
It's tough to say exactly how useful the Max Pass is/will be, since it's still so new. If you want to have the flexibility to change things on your phone and have a relatively small group it may be worth it. If you're familiar with the paper FP system's tricks and strategies, or have a group bigger than about 4 people (due to cost), you may be better off without it It looks like most of the APs aren't blocked, so it could be fairly busy, especially since it's right around the time kids will be getting out of school. Since it could go either way, maybe it would be best to play it by ear, and wait a few hours after you get there to only buy the Max Pass if it turns out to be a busy day I think Disneyland is best when you get a lot done. I've gone with folks who didn't want to manage and ended up accomplishing very little. Have a general framework to go off of, and have fun!
RideMax is a non-Disney site that helps you maximize your attractions. And I agree with FA that more done = more fun for me. I ended up buying it. Not sure I will use it because it has a lot of running back and forth which I don't like.
Oh, and touring lines is predicting 6/10 crowds our two days. Not sure why, but I'll take it. Now if it can just be less than the predicted highs of 87F!
