When I was in Animation Academy during its soft opening, we were technically to be open 12-6 every day, but in reality we'd shut down early quite often to take care of technical issues that arose. The purpose of a soft opening, therefore, is to work out the kinks of an attraction before it's expected to remain open throughout the day.
