Or, if they are simply leaving the floats outside (another possibility) this works for the daytime floats but the electrical floats need a place to be garaged indoors. That would be my guess, anyway (plus, they save money not running the night parade during dead times anyway...thankfully such cost cutting doesn't happen much out here in Tokyo, where we can see the parades practically every day and night throughout the year, and often multiple special event parades as well (I've known the park to run as many as 6 parades per day).

The reason there will be no spectro at night has to do with space. The dreams parade is going to be shorter than usual with fewer floats to allow for its new route (main street up to the castle and back down main street). The DCT floats are more stand-alone than spectro's.

Originally Posted By FerretAfros The way they are running the daytime parade is they are taking it up Main Street, and then squishing everything together around the hub, and heading back. Since SpectroMagic is so long, and many of the floats work together to make up bigger units, this strategy would be a lot harder to use, since the entire thing needs to be able to fit around the hub. I think a few of the daytime floats will go away for that time (God forbid we don't get to see the mirror castle float for a week!) so the whole thing fits, but other than that it should be pretty much the same. If they did that to SpectroMagic, they would have to cut out so much of it that it really wouldn't be worth the trouble, especially when you consider the crowd control issues they'll have with the additional challenge of the night.

Originally Posted By danyoung >We still think of you as a grumpy old man with a splinter in your backside which must be why you enjoy being negative most of the time.< Only one more point on the subject. I'm a very happy middle aged dude with no splinters that I know of and a sunny and positive attitude on life. In a moment of weakness I raged against the person we all know as Witches, complaining against the strange style of presentation that most folks around here seem to enjoy. I don't, but I'm obviously in the minority. So for the most part, I try to ignore the posts from Witches. Earlier in this thread he/she had a valid point that needed a bit more info, which I provided. If you'll look at this thread closely you'll see that if shots were fired, Witches shot first first. But in this case he/she was probably justified due to my past position. I don't want to fight - in fact I think I've made it plain several times over that I don't want to fight. And that's all I have to say, subject to further provocations. And back on subject, there was one night in my October trip that I'd planned to see SpectroMagic and Wishes on one night in the MK, only to find out this week that there was no SM show. It really was there on the schedule, but now it's not. Not a good sign.

It sounds, instead, like someone who's looking for trouble. ORWEN: Yes, and I'll never forget the other example of this when we started a thread about a certain cast member who wasn't very well informed about something and danyoung tried to accuse us of attacking her. Fortunately others saw through that nasty attempt to twist our words around and they came on board to support the point we were REALLY trying to make. ORDDU: Life is simply too short to waste it by going to such great lengths to deliberately misinterpret what others are saying. If you insist on trying to villify us at every turn, dear, you're hurting yourself more than anyone else. ORGOCH: I says give it a rest 'cause if'n I was REALLY gonna' attack ya, ya'd already be toast by now.
