Great to see Michelle Pfeiffer again.

Actually, I think it's based on a regular novel. I think the graphic novel is also based on the regular novel.

I think it's his worst book. So of course they're making a movie of it. :-(

The story may not resonate as well as the underlying themes from Lord of the Rings or Wizard of Oz ....
but worthy the 10+ dollar admission.

Michelle P. looked GREAT. It's like she's not aging at all since the Fabulous Baker Boys. And this is Michelle's year .. as she did Hairspray as well.

It was a great cast .. the settings stunning. All filmed in and around various British Isles.

Robert DeNiro also brings some "dimension" to his role. Look how stellar of an actor he is! No matter what his role is.

The only thing ... the dead brother ghosts scenes make it more silly than I felt was necessary.

It was really enjoyable all the way through.

There are human themes presented that give it depth ... But not at the level of a Tolkien or L. Frank Baum delivered.

Love Sandman and Neverwhere. Good Omens and American Gods were good. Stardust is fun, but his weakest. But having seen the trailer the other day, I am really looking forward to this one.

When they were on Shakespeare's ship and they kept saying "murdered by pirates" I couldn't help thinking of "Murdered by pirates is good!"
