Talking Windows

    As a child I remember windows on main street that you could hear sounds from. The dentist etc. and a couple of years ago I discovered that the window at Peter Pan (as you are exiting) has Peter saying "Up Up and away". But I was just listening to VF Radio and they had a New Orleans Square window segement.

    Which windows still exist and where are they located at?

    It would be interesting to go in the park early in the morning this summer and find the different windows.

    We were at the park in March and this was the first time I found them (unless I just don't remember them from previous trips)! There were 4 (I think) in the area where you enter the lockers. There was the dentist, piano lessons, hotel with guest gargling, and a lady hollering at a man about loud music and the heat! Very cute.

    I think one of the ones in New Orleans Square is between Cafe Orleans and the Train Station. Kinda by the bathrooms. I could be wrong, but I think that's the one with the lady and her parrot. I'm not sure of any others.

    There are a few tables and chairs located behind the Main Street fruit cart. Sit there for a spell and you'll hear sounds from the dentist office, piano lesson and a showering hotel guest. It's very amusing. One of my favorite quiet spots.

    The sounds come from second floor windows. As far as I know, there are two in New Orleans Square: the lady with the parrot, and the palm reader.

    Yeah i luv the New Orleans Square windows, the first time I noticed them was in Nov. It was late the park was closing and my wife was in the restroom. I sat there listening to what I thought was CM's talking up in a breakroom. Quite funny to later ealize it's just a recording, still brings a smile to my face...

    Isn't there a jazz musician in one the NOS windows? But I do love the talking windows in both New Orleans and Main Street, esp. MS when one person's putting stuff in the lockers and the rest are waiting, it's amusing to hear.
