Finally, after some serious cross examination by my wife, we came to find out that if you self park, the parking was still free. So basically, this attendant lied about the parking fee by not telling us it was only for valet parking until my wife pulled it out of him, and also misrepresented himself as the innocent 3rd party and not a Disney employee. I did go to the concierge after we checked in and made them aware of this, but to my fellow DVC owners, beware of the tactics being used to make you think that both the valet and self parking are subject to a $12 daily fee.
