So now that we're in the Second trimester we are so excited to share with all of you that we are hoping to welcome our first child around February 17. That's the current expected due date.

We are terribly excited. We have an ultrasound scheduled for the end of September that could show us the gender if baby cooperates. We have no preference, no specific hope -- just a healthy baby.

I'm doing well. I'm not really showing yet but am more comfortable in stretchable waistbands than button ups. But we post pics every now and again on LPLive so I'm sure you'll all let me know when I'm showing. =)

The only weird craving I've had has been Tang. And thanks to mrsnurmis I was able to get some. Here in the US they've changed the formula to contain sucralose so it tastes gross to me and I really wanted Tang. I found out that in Canada it still has good ol' sugar so mrsnurmis was kind enough to send me a box of Tang.

    LP'ers are freat!

    Rebekah.

    And -- Ursula,

love "Doobabykah". We've actually referred to the little one as Doobeklet a few times. But mostly Chester. You may wonder ... Chester??

Well, this is our current compromise. Doobie likes the name Chester while I'm not a fan. So I agreed that we can call the baby Chester until we know the gender.

Oh man - be careful with that! That type of compromise led to my friends' baby being named "Smith" - forever!! :-D

I was previously referring to baby as "Peanut" but Doobie wasn't fond of that nickname -- so that's how Chester came to be the compromise.

I had a dog named Chester, so I'm already partial to the name - just not for a human!! ;)
