Basically, I was planning on spending most of my time in TDS. If there is a park hopper equivalent, is it worth the investment of time to go wait for Hunny Hunt, and when would be the best time to do that? I know lines can be insane (well organized, but insane) at TDLR, so I was thinking first thing. What would you "regulars" reccommend?

    Two full passports = ¥11000

One full passport + Starlight passport = ¥10000

    One full passport + After 6 passport = ¥8400

Secondly, there is no park hopper on day pass at TDR, so you will have to buy a 1-day passport to either one of the parks. Now... this is my suggestion...

Get there before the gate open and go to the park you want to spend the most time at.. You mentioned TDS, right? So get to TDS just before park opening time and spend most of the day there. Then head out to TDL around 5:15pm and buy the "After 6 Passport" for TDL. You will be able to get into TDL and enjoy Dreamlights and Hunny Hunt... this is the deal. Position yourself somewhere at Dumbo where Dreamlights starts, and as soon as the parade is over, *race* to Hunny Hunt and do the stand by line, which tends to be much shorter when Dreamlights is performing. Enjoy Hunny Hunt. Once you have done that, you can enjoy the rest of the evening at TDL, or head back to TDS for one last hours at that park at night. Don't forget to have your hand stamped as you leave TDS so you can return again later.

    Any questions?

Personally, I would recommend a 1 day visitor spend the day at DisneySea.

I would recommend this for ANYONE who's been to Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland Paris, and perhaps even Hong Kong Disneyland.

IF you've NEVER been to a "magic kingdom", THEN maybe I'd recommend Tokyo Disneyland (and yeah, Pooh is a first rate attraction!).

If there were 2 days to spare, I'd say check out both. But with only one day...relax and enjoy 1 park (if you choose Tokyo Disneyland, that's fine too). Park Hopping is not easy in Tokyo, and in 1 day will cost more than it's worth (since you'll be shortchanging the park you spent most of the day in...not being able to see the nightlife and all).

Go see DisneySea. OR, go check out Tokyo Disneyland if that's more interesting to you. Personally, I would not recommend trying to take in both parks in one day...you'll only leave disappointed, feeling as though you missed the best of both (crowded conditions will only add to the disappointment, especially at TDL).

Sorry to be contradictory, TDLFAN, but I really feel that 2 in 1 is too much for a first time visitor. Just imho, of course.

my point is just, if you've BEEN to another magic kingdom, why not check out a totally NEW park (along the lines of EPCOT, or Animal Kingdom) in DisneySea if you only have one day to spare in Japan.

Of course, if you have a couple or even three days, check out all of TDR. But, anyway that's my 1 day recommendation, as awsome as TDL really is (and I love it, crowds and all :p).

However, if you really feel you want to, TDLFAN's plan is the way to go.

Anyway, whichever you decide, have fun! :)

You'd be surprised how close Arabian Coast and Port Discovery are is to Fantasyland (and Hunny Hunt) for the daring theme park goer. Just ask WorldDisney. ;) And, if someone asks, play "dumb tourist" and tell em you got lost. That's all I'll say on THAT topic.

I will have to disagree with my dear friend Mr. X on this... Besides DLR and DLRP being tied at #1 as the easiest resorts to get to/from each park.. TDR happens to be the 2nd best resort to get around. One short hop on the TDR Line from TDS to TDL will only take 6 mins. From TDL to TDS only takes about 9 mins. Concidering that sometimes I has taken me up to 15 minutes to get from the TTC to the MK at WDW on the monorail... TDR is quite easy to get around. Sure.. the TDR Line will set you back a mere Y200 yen per ride (or Y500 for a day pass and unlimited rides) but time-wise.. TDR is the 2nd most user-friendly resort to travel around. Of course... it takes about 20 mins to walk from TDL to TDS's main entrance and I would not advise it if you are short on time. But it CAN BE done easily. Try walking from the MK to TTC...

So Afros... is it worth the troubles... YES! Use the TDR Line to get around and the WDW/DL monorails will never ever be the same.

About my "strategy"...I wasn't suggesting any cast members assist. More of a "do it yourself" project, and no guest would ever get in trouble over it...but it's not for everyone (just a good timesaver).

If you have Google Earth, you can view this area. I was surprised to see how short and straight this walkway is.

I'm all about getting there early and running around, but I don't want to run to a FP machine to be told that I can't get one. I would rather run to a line that will grow quickly. Which attractions tend to have the longest lines, and at what point is it not really worth waiting for them?

And.. that's the line to REACH the FP dispenser machine. Not to be confused with the 25 minute FP line after your window comes on.

    >>but would also mean they sell out quickly.<<
The don't "sell" FP, even though they should, but the service is free at TDR just like all other resorts.

    >> Which attractions tend to have the longest lines, and at what point is it not really worth waiting for them?<<

Good question. You have to arrive at TDL's gates about 1 hour before opening so you can get into the park as quickly as possible. Once inside..run to get a FP for either Hunny Hunt or Astroblasters. Both lines are the most popular at this time of the morning..
As for the rest of the day... FP works the same way it does at WDW... once you get a FP, you are blocked off from getting another one until your window comes up or two hours later, whatever comes first. Keep in mind... FPs for Pooh and Astroblasters are gone by 11am or so.. Other rides such as Space/Splash/BT Mountains have FP available until about 4 pm or so... but they may go faster based on crowds... the crowder the park, the faster the FPs will go.
