Those were the good old days, packing the night before I would leave(sigh). When it was just me, I just threw my stuff in one suitcase, sometimes the morning of the trip and I was off!

Now with the kids, I have to really plan ahead and not forget a thing they will need from goggles for the pool to their build-a-bears to get new outfits!
I never took stuff like cold meds, bandaides, sippy cups-lol! I have to pack for all 4 of us and have it by the door in the am. All Dh does is put it in the car.

But just to play it safe, I will take all of the kids' Disney clothes out of their drawers tonight so they won't wear them before we go! I just finished all the laundry so every Disney thing in the house is clean right now. DD has a favorite Pooh shirt and the minute she sees that it's clean, she HAS to wear it even if she isn't going anywhere.

Lacybelle!! 4 DAYS and nothing packed?!! I like that term "staging"-that is what I am going to do, "stage" stuff that I run into around the house and need to bring! Hey, have a great trip!! JUST 4 DAYS!!!

Danyoung, I know what you mean about the dining reservations and all the park planning-lol. For me, that is a major part of the trip planning and we have all our reservations made but still thinking of adding one or two-lol. We don't make plans for which park on which day simply because we know it will be packed so we have to be flexible and go with the flow. We like to hit DL first thing in the am and when it starts getting really crowded in the afternoon, head over to DCA. We have the Disney Visa too though so hope to hit Ariel's at least one morning to get our free photos.

I have a mental list of which clothes I want to take, it's just a matter of folding and putting them in a suitcase.

The planning was done months ago, though. Restaurant ressies, etc. We've been counting down since February and are well beyond ready to go.

DH has a 'staging' area on the pool table where he is gathering stuff like the camera, misc power cords, MP3 players for the airplane -- you know, the fun, gadgety male stuff.

Don't you people that haven't started packing have to "charge up" everything? I am trying now to find the chargers for all 3 digital cameras and at least plug them in along with the 3 DVD players. Yep, 3-lol! One for each kid and then one for me from DH so I watch the movie instead of his driving!!!

I am going crazy with all these charger things and the cords for the cameras laptop, cord to hook the camera to the laptop, chargers for the car and then others that plug into the wall-ACK!! I want my Dh to think that is all "the fun, gadgety male stuff"!!! I swear I just plugged in the cell phone charger to the camera-lol, I thought it seemed a little loose!

While I realize it is completely twisted, it actually works out great. I get all our new stuff when the stores put their summer things on clearance. I find little fun presents that I toss in DH and DD's suitcases. They know that I have bought them all new stuff, so they don't bother getting into the suitcases before we go. It's kinda like christmas for them to see all their new clothes. It's really not all that expensive, and since I just buy new stuff, I'm not doing tons of laundry before we leave, and I don't have to worry that somebody will wear clothes I intended to pack.

I know I have issues and need professional help.....

As far as getting your DH to take care of it, just carry a clipboard and speak with authority. LOL. As in, "I've made a checklist of things to do in preparing for our trip and you are going to gather/pack all power cords and charge the cameras." Then smile and walk away. ;-)
