    Thanks!

Take a walk on the boardwalk at night.

Sit by the beach and relax.

Make sure you see all parts of the pool.

    Feed the ducks.

Take some time and read a book while sitting on the rocking chairs on the covered walkway between the YC and Beach Club.

Watch someone get married with Mickey and Minnie at the gazebo.

Definitely have a hamburger and ice cream at Beaches and Cream.

If it's too crowded at the main pool, check out the "quiet" pool.

Walk to Epcot - what a pleasure not to have to fight the crowds in the parking lot.

Take a long early morning walk around the Boardwalk.

    Are you staying concierge?

Beamerdog, thanks for all the suggestions! You and Labuda both mention Beaches & Cream...we will be sure NOT to miss that stop. Vacations are for eating all that "good" stuff, eh?

Are there any other not-to-be-missed places over on the Boardwalk side?

The concierge staff made all arrangements ahead of time, breakfast was just perfect, when the kids were smaller, we went back in the afternoon for their cookies and milk (and a little wine and cheese for us). Access to our floor was private and we had a room with a water/park view.

If you have the time to spend and are not on a type-A commando tour of the parks, concierge is the way to go.

We have also stayed "regular guest" style and had a great time - even in the standard room view, lol.

The last time we were in WDW and had a horrible access problem with AKL (I have a service dog), the YC took us in with open arms and made us very welcome. I have stayed there with 3 puppies in training (before I got my own) and they've been gracious every single time. BTW, I'm *very* careful about where my dog sleeps and uses the "facilities" and clean up after, so that helps people be nice to us I guess.

I also forgot to say that you can rent boats in front of the YC at the boat house, which is great fun.

If you can, get a room in the wing which juts out on the side of the resort. If you face Epcot, you can see the top of the fireworks from your room if you're on an upper floor. The balconies are tiny, but it's still nice to have them.
