DLR has so much to do in so little space (and tons of repeat visitors who don't have to do everything on each visit) that waits rarely exceed 60 minutes on all but one or two attractions in each park I also imagine that the jungle-like weather during the time when most families would want to visit also plays a factor in how busy WDW's parks feel during their 'peak' season

I thought it was totally intolerable. Both Epcot and WDW are pretty spacious and rarely feel crowded. MK's Main Street feels really crowded following the nighttime parade or fireworks, but otherwise isn't bad. Animal Kingdom feels really hot and crowded during peak times, but most months it isn't a problem. Disney Studios isn't all that crowded, but is very awkward to get around because of all the dead ends.

I've seen many of people that had to go back to the ticket booth because they thought their child was young enough to not need a ticket for entry
