The car drops the plug to make contact with the floor charger.

Perhaps it is because I wasn't expecting much, but we thought it was fun - about the same fun-scale as Mater and moved us around about as much too (there is a seat belt like Mater BTW). I would never wait long for it but it was a nice ride to do if the wait is say 10 minutes or less. Sure it could've been more but it was fun enough that we would do it again.

Interesting. From flying tires to folk-dancing Fiats. I found it somewhat interesting. Does anybody know whether the choreography is fixed or randomized?
There is a different choreography for each song. I believe there are four songs played in order. It still comes down to be jerked to the left, jerked to the right and spin!
Having enjoyed the Flying Tires a few times, and having read about the Roadsters, I was pleasantly surprised by the reality of the ride. Certainly no E-ticket, to be sure (and neither were the Flying Tires), but certainly pleasant enough, and it seems to work better in real life than it does on paper. And no more jerking or spinning than, say, Mania. I was at DLR all day yesterday, from about 9 AM to almost midnight. And now, I don't have bags under my eyes; I have STEAMER TRUNKS under my eyes.
