There's a Japanese TV show where they do something silly like this (I think it's "how many European countries can you visit in a day" or something), but in that case they have to do "something" and eat "something" etc., in each locale before they leave. It'd make some sense if it was more like "ride space mountain, thunder mountain and pirates in each locale", and skip the time-limit part. But whatever. It's a hype, I suppose. I'd do it if the flights were first class, except I'd skip the Disney part and just hang out in the lounges between flights. ;D

With the international date line, we landed in LAX around 11am. A friend and I were both APers at the time, so we figured it was worth a shot and headed down for a few hours at the park (we did a few rides, though I don't remember what specifically; we also got photos in front of the giant stained glass map of all the Disney parks in World of Disney), and headed home around dusk because the day had been about 30 hours long at that point We did it for the novelty of it, and because it just happened to work into our travel plans without costing us anything extra. Planning a whole trip like this just sounds like a royal pain in the butt

Plus I walked into all the parks from backstage and spend little time in lines (but I was touring as a guest in all cases). Anyway, this sounds a heck of a lot more extreme.

Again, that wasn't a planned thing per-se, he just happened to have been at Disneyland shortly before heading to Tokyo and so it was a fun hype to compare. So yeah, "super park-hopping" can be a fun thing, if not taken to extremes.

Originally Posted By Mr X ***It's just a gimmick - a thing - like standing in line to collect Park pins and merchandise or watching the new 'Star Wars'' movie for 24 hours.*** For me, the neatest thing about this guys' plan is the circling the globe part. Sure, he picked "Disney Parks" as waypoints, but in any case that does seem like a fun thing to do. I'd certainly want to expand any such trip from "80 hours" to "a few days" or more, but the coolness factor of circumnavigating the globe, for me, is a fun sort of trip to consider. I actually did "both halves" (and many thanks to some LP friends who helped make that possible!), and even that was a hype for me (hey, I'm a geek, what can I say!?). Tokyo - Newark and back, followed by Tokyo - London - Newark and back...full circle, just not all at once.

Although, some would probably say the same thing about how long I've waited in a park line for some thing or another.
