TL has been in shambles for 15+ years now. What's it going to take for it to get a little love?

Probably when the area stops being profitable and popular.

How so? The Seasons of the Force thing is temporary (though it will probably be 'permanent' until the new land opens), and insiders tend to agree that Star Tours won't be around for long after the new land debuts. There doesn't seems to be a ton of agreement whether it will be removed entirely or rethemed to another storyline (like the upcoming Iron Man Experience in HKDL which uses the same simulators), but it probably won't be there as we know it in 5 years

So...about 5 minutes after Star Wars land opens, then? Some of the attractions in the land are popular and successful, and the seasonal(?) Star Wars overlay seems to be very popular. But I doubt that popularity will still be there once the proper Star Wars land is done.

Other than Space Mountain (and potentially the Autopia/Subs area), nothing in the land is really sacred, nor is it popular enough that it couldn't be completely rethought in a thorough refurbishment. That gives them a TON of space to do something interesting. Then again, given that Star Wars land will take up 14 acres yet only house 2 attractions, perhaps the current WDI teams just can't use space anywhere near as efficiently as the old designers; whatever is going into DLR needs to be much more mindful of this than what we've seen in the last ~25 years

Maybe 20 or 25 minutes after Star Wars Land opens.

When Disney addresses *any* of these backbone-of-the-land problems, we'll know they are moving in the right direction.
