    In hindsight, I ate at Boardwalks Betsy's on my 2nd(?) trip to the park, in 2006, so that wasn't even short-lived.

    Yes! Glowing-ember-pseudo-lava-like debris falling from the roof with every passing vehicle. It really was spectacular. I had no idea how the effect was done when Indy opened and remember it vividly. Sigh.
