That area never made sense to me. Why send hotel traffic through the toll plaza? Why make the buses go the long way around the parking lot? I know that area has grown through the years, but it seems like it was a bad layout even when WDW first opened. Hopefully this will help clear some of that up On a related note, permits have also been filed for the interchanges along Osceola Pkwy at World Dr and at Victory Way, presumably related to the new parking lot configuration at the Studios. The World Dr cloverleaf interchange will remove the signal on Osceola Pkwy and reconfigure the ramps onto NB World Dr. The Victory Way intersection will become a grade separated SPUI, with a signal only on the Victory Way lanes, and ramps to/from the Studios area Although these projects seem less high-profile, as a frequent runDisney participant, I'm really excited for them. There are always terrible backups getting in and out of WWOS, so the new Victory Way interchange should alleviate many of those problems. Several of the race courses took us along the ramp over the Studios parking lot entrance road, which was steep and heavily cambered, making it miserable for running (as if anything would be fun after 21 miles); the new design seems to remove the S-bend and hopefully lower the profile some
