A country where too many of its people a). fetishize guns; b). fetishize shooting black guys. Sadly, someone's going to snap this up, and I bet it fetches more than $5,000 eventually. Happily, a). this is not all of us by any means; b). it looks like maybe Zimmerman's 15 minutes is up (or at least faded) and he hasn't been able to cash in consistently on his murder to the extent I feared he might. In other words, he needs the money. And the next time he's in the news, I bet it's for another arrest.
Yup. He probably isn't making much selling autographs and posing for pictures at guns shows anymore. Of that there is no doubt.
Update: the auction site where Zimmerman was trying to sell the gun took the listing down. Auction For Gun George Zimmerman Used To Kill Travyon Martin Halted We're not talking ebay here, either. This was "gunauction.com," and apparently even they thought this untoward. Also, the Smithsonian thing (as quoted in #1) was just Zimmerman lying again - surprise, surprise. "The Smithsonian Institution later said it had no interest in purchasing the gun and had no intention of displaying it."
Zimmerman is an actual troll. A ghoul. No, that's not fair to trolls and ghouls. He's simply disgusting. He should be in prison. He'll get there eventually.
Basically, if you have zero conscience in this country, you can get a lot of notoriety and money. It's a never ending freak show.
I'm curious if his long-time defenders still think his behavior is understandable. I suppose if abusing his girlfriends is defensible, this is no problemo for them. One wonders what it'll take for this man to do before his fans realize what he is.
You know, I'm slightly willing to cut him a benefit of the doubt in that shooting. Maybe consider it a HUGE lapse in judgement. I think he should've been convicted, but I'm not completely outraged that he got off. Just maybe he made a mistake that was informed by an outdated attitude that you get when you consume too much Rush/Drudge/Fox. And if he had shown one iota of remorse over taking a human life, well, OK, maybe there's some redemption to be found. I know that if I had taken a life, no matter how justified I might've been. I would still be feeling really awful. But he keeps trying to make money off of the incident. What a vile human being. If I had the chance to go back in time and Kill Stalin or Hitler, sure, I'd have to do it, but I still wouldn't be trying to make a living off that. But the gun nuts will rally around him. Might be hard to find a bigger indictment.

Maybe someone would buy it and then shoot him with it. I'm not usually and advocate of violence, but, that guy needs to be gone. Never mind, that sounds to much like something Mr. Trump would say. I really didn't want to stoop that low, but, I guess I did.
