What attraction have you always skipped?

Umm... it feels like it would be simpler for me to say what attractions I go on! I guess that I simply need to go more than one day per year. I will be going on more now with my son!

NOT skipped: Space, Star Tours, Buzz, Tiki, JC, POTC, BTMR, HM, Splash; and often Matterhorn, Indy, IASW.

 

You can only get away with saying this because LP Live pictures seem to be gone. I seem to remember something going on with Duffy.

I generally never enter ToonTown.

Adult beverages will do that to a person.

 

It has been many years since I have been to Disneyland without kids in tow, so more often than not, I have visited attractions that I would have possibly skipped had I been on my own. There are some that I just tend to leave out such as Columbia, Mark Twain, Tarzan, Casey Jr. LOL.... BUT, even if I don't visit them, it's nice to know they are there.

 

I'm sure if we listed everything (and I mean *everything*) one can do at Disneyland, I'd end up skipping a lot. But for bona fide rides, I don't do Dumbo or Autopia. I don't think I've ever done Astro Orbitor, come to think of it. If a ride basically seems like an incarnation of a carnival ride, I guess I don't feel compelled.

 

I usually do Dumbo but not Astro Orbiter.

 

I hate Astro Orbiter. The angle of the ships always makes me feel like I'm falling out.

 

I can't remember the last time I rode Dumbo. I'm pretty sure it was in the 90s. I like Silly Symphony Swings and Golden Zephyr for some reason though. Maybe because they a bigger and higher off the ground.

 

Silly Symphony Swings is my favorite. If you go first thing in the morning you can ride 3 or 4 times in a row without getting off. I was disappointed it was down this trip.

 

After watching my son and wife almost barf on the moving Mickey's Fun Wheel....and almost upchucking myself, I will never ride it again.

 

Golden Zephyr is one of the few attractions I actively avoid. For some reason, it just makes me feel nauseous every time I ride it. I can do the biggest rollercoasters and craziest rides, but there's something about the oh-so-simple Golden Zephyr that doesn't agree with me

I also tend to avoid Goofy's Sky School and Gadget's Go-Coaster since I just don't fit in the seats. As much as people complain about fitting in the new Matterhorn seats, I think those two are much worse for tall people

 

That's actually why I kinda like them and I will ride occasionally if the wait is short, while I think I've ridden Dumbo once in 30 years, and only then because I realized how long it had been since I'd done so.

The angle gives the AO at least a slight thrill (especially when diving down), though not of course as great as when they were perched up high. If they'd finally admit their mistake, bite the bullet, and move them up high again, I'd probably ride every time.
