The Future Shanghai Disney Could Very Well be the Best Disney Park in the World This park could actually be tranquil. (Seriously!) Its castle will be a monument and architectural feat. Everything will be totally new. The mainstays are still improvements on the classics. Shanghai will be home to the first-ever Toy Story Hotel. Dinosaurs! It’s your only chance to ride the incredible Tron rollercoaster. Anyway, I tend to think not, but the article raises some interesting points. From a strictly photographic standpoint the park really does seem to stand out as something new and different, much like DLP did a few decades back.
Yikes, the writing on that article seems a little desperate. "No really, we swear! The park isn't just a total cop-out! It might almost be worthwhile!" I understand that there is still somewhat limited information about what's actually in the park, but recycling these years-old nuggets of information isn't fooling anybody I also think it's particularly funny that one of the reasons SDL will be the best is because of dinosaurs. There are dinosaurs present in one form or another in nearly every single Disney park worldwide (DCA's got removed during it's redo, and I'm not sure about HKDL), so it's not terribly unique. And from all accounts, there's only the one dinosaur AA; as impressive as it may (or may not) be, that hardly seems like a compelling reason to visit
This park could actually be tranquil. (Seriously!) Ever been to a Dim Sum restaurant full of Chinese people? That is how the tea house will be. Chinese people are LOUD.
Actually Russ, reports of unusual dining activity during sneak opening days of SDL are already flooding the internet.
I contemplated writing rude and obnoxious as well, but I left it out. I'm not surprised by such behavior at all. Orderly queuing is another thing that seems to be beyond many Chinese.
I agree that it's pretty bad, but at least they have the decency (and creativity!) to use other plates to shovel the food onto their plates. I can't count the number of times that I've seen "civilized" Americans go straight in with their hands The mob mentality is pretty crazy though. I will be very interested to see how multi-hour queues in SDL work out
I have seen such behaviour at DLP's Agrabah Cafe too, but the worst experience I had a few years ago during our skiing vacation. A group of Russian tourists behaved like the ones seen in the video above. The next day, they got thrown out of the hotel.
