    So that's the famous Horizons!

Yes. I've never seen it in person but I wish a new version of it would come to Disneyland. It would be perfect for Tomorrowland.

While the theme is certainly appropriate for Tomorrowland, the building itself would take up nearly the entire space. Epcot was known for huge show buildings, and Horizons was one of the biggest. It was also very tall, which would cause some trouble in DL's smaller scale surroundings. Here's an aerial comparison, with photos from roughly the same elevation:

I visited the park when Horizons was open, but I have no recollection of ever going on it. Such a shame!

I remember riding Horizons on my first visit in 1997. I'm not a particular fan of it, but glad I got to ride perhaps the most iconic of all Epcot attractions.

That is why I said a new version. A new version that would fit in the Innoventions building. Just use omnimovers and both floors. There is plenty of room for a nice 15 minute ride.

The original Horizons used 2 floors (including lots of changing levels, unlike most rides that are on one level for a while and eventually switch to the other for the remainder of the trip) and still had to be that big to fit everything in it. From my understand, a big part of what made it so memorable was the huge scale of it. Some of the concepts could be adapted to a new version at DL, but I think it would be nearly impossible to copy the original scale, grandeur, and ride length without taking out half of TL

Would taking out half of TL be that big of a loss?

I'd also love to see Disneyland's Autopia and subs be turned into one big Seabase Alpha complex where the subs act as transportation to the base. The base would have an underwater roller coaster via tubes that pass live fish!

It would never happen but I can dream.

'Horizon' was terrific, in that it spent more time showing us the future and less time on 'a wacky and whimsical look back' as 'World of Motion' did.
