I have a trip planned (flights and 2 studio rooms at the Grand Californian Villas for June 3rd-June 6. I was prepared for half of DL being closed off due to construction but totally surprised with seeing Thursday Friday Saturday Grad Nights at DL and DCA from 8a.m. to 9p.m. with special after hours event at DCA. I think I feel ill. I am afraid to tell my family I messed up. I have seen those busloads many years ago. Anybody have something to help me get over this nausea and feeling of wasting thousands of dollars???
Hi, We were there the first "grad night" this year. We stayed at PPH in a DCA view room. The buses arrive at random times throughout the day. We saw the grads walking through a gate between Bugsland and Carsland. Plan to use fastpasses and restaurant reservations on the days of Grad nights, pool time or a movie, enjoy the Grand. If you plan your must do attractions ahead it's not bad, it's just crazy busy in the walkways. Do the BIG rides like Space & Racers on non grad days. Bag check from DTD is packed. Other than a few screaming girls the kids were in small groups and were just being kids. Most didn't seem to have a clue about where rides were, fastpasses or food choices, a bonus for you. When we were there, you can get a fastpass for Buzz and another fastpass at the same time. Another thing most people didn't seem to realize. Bring white noise machines or earplugs or an ap for your phone. You will likely hear the bands during the grad night. I know this is a jumbled answer. Any particular questions?
