Man, it is a small world after all.... A long time ago, I don't even know how I found your website, but I really appreciated the Years ago, I found your website. And it really stuck out to me for some reason. I liked the design, the cartoon characters of your family and I liked seeing your family travels. In fact, I wrote you an email to let you know, long time ago. Didn't you also have part of your house decorated in an amusement park theme?
Thanks Marlin Perkins. Yes, we went Disney crazy in our Apt in Pasadena. We've toned it down since moving to Merced.
Ever since the kids were babies, we have taken their picture by "the door." It seems to be a popular location for a photo op.
We do that too but we do it at the Mr. Toad statue. My parents started that tradition. Cool to see the wear and tear on the Toad. Scary picture huh?
No, that's a good picture! Traditions like these have great meaning over time. For us, what started as a cute shot of the kids as babies, led to a lifetime tradition. They'll probably do it with their kids. How cool is that?
My daughter started a tradition of announcing pregnancies at Disneyland. The first time was at the top of the Maliboomer! This was number 2.
"So, we are all here at Disneyland. Who's pregnant now?" The kids start to wonder if going to Disneyland makes mom have a baby. "I don't want to go to Disneyland because I don't want another little brother!"
That's funny! Sounds like y'all would "find time" on those trips....that can be challenging sometimes with the kiddos on the trip with us. Now adult only trips (which we do on occasion) ...those are different story.
Funny thing, we raise goats but still had to visit the CircleD every trip. We made friends with some of the CM's.
I loved the Carnation Plaza Gardens in the morning. It was such a quiet area of the park. Almost a "secret garden".
