Woohoo!! Keep up the great work @FKA_familyguy !

My goal is to get back to working out again next week. I'm going camping for the weekend, and my workout will be keeping up with my friend's kids. :D

WooHoo!!!!!! Sure hope I am still in the 130's when I get home. Right now we are in the Rockies somewhere in Wyoming. So glad we picked tonight to get a cabin as there is quite a wind and a nasty storm on the horizon. We are eating fresh veggies with beans and a hot dog. (There is an Applebee's right down the road and I have a gift card. What a temptation that was.
Blessings to all of my healthier friends. If you are struggling; know that it happens to all of us.

That feeling when you weigh in another pound down (172) on a Friday, but you know you're going to ruin it all over the weekend.....

Here's to trying not to indulge TOO much over the weekend!

    Been there done that!!

I am happy to post that, not without trepidation, I stepped on the scale this AM. I was down 1.6# in spite of the restaurant meals and s'mores. That brings me to 136.6. If I can do as well in Seattle next month I will be thrilled.

Just got back from my weekend of camping indulgence, but I haven't had the heart to step on the scale quite yet. I'll do that tomorrow morning once I've rebooted my brain's eating habits. We were really active on Saturday, so I'm hopeful that I only gained a pound...*fingers crossed* ;)

Good job! Isn't it freeing to know that we CAN enjoy the things we love in moderation and with less frequency than we might normally want to, while still moving towards our goals? This is how lasting lifestyle change is achieved; by recognizing that we don't have to completely deny ourselves everything we love, but enjoy them with less frequency, and in moderation. Good stuff!

    So true!:)
Weighed in at 134.6 this AM! I have not seen that number since 2004 when I got down to 132 for a trip to Hawaii. I was 114 at my 30th high school reunion and could not get under 140 for my 40th. (reunions being the #1 motivator for weight loss notwithstanding) I have my 45th coming up and hope to be in the 120's. Do I even hope to dream of that??!!??o_O
    And my BP was 111/61!!

Rod told me he needs to poke another notch in his belt. I told him he could buy a new one to celebrate.

Woo hoo! Great job! Excited for you!

I'm having this problem too. I need a new belt....but I'm actually starting to need a new wardrobe altogether. If only I earned money for losing weight, because I can't afford a new wardrobe. Oh well. ;)

@iamsally you and your hubby are doing spectacularly!!! That is quite the accomplishment, and you guys should feel awesome about yourselves and the work you have been putting forth for your health! :) It is definitely a good excuse to go shopping. I'm about at that point too where I'm having to pull up my pants more often during the day...it's a small price to pay for weight loss and healthier living though. ;)

Keep up the awesome work @FKA_familyguy ! New clothes are in your future too!!

I am such a hoarder that I still have my skinny clothes. (Bell bottoms and torn shirts anyone?LOL)
I am trying not to be scale obsessed now that we are home. I just want to stick to the plan and keep moving forward.
    Good work everyone.:D

Checking in! Husband and I started in earnest last week. For us, tracking our calories really works. We tend to have "just an extra scoop" of this or "just one more" of that. Tracking our calories really just makes us more aware of our decisions.

For the first time EVER, I'm allowed more calories a day than he is. Yay breastfeeding! LOL! Since last week I've lost 1.2 lbs which is great!

Good job of keeping on track Tiggirl!:)

I got a lesson in why it is bad to be scale obsessed. I was up almost 2 pounds this AM. Now I know I have not taken in 6000+ extra calories in two days! It is water or just the normal fluctuations that happen. I need to be happy that I am still in the mid 130's and stick with the plan. The weight will come off.
(GGRRRRRRR!!!!!! I am so much better at talking than doing.)

I hear you @iamsally !! I've come to grips that I really only need to weigh in once a week because I have heard that weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds a day due to water weight and bloating. There is nothing more frustrating than stepping on the scale and having it go up when you know you've been staying on track with everything.

Keep up the good work everybody!! We can do this!

Once a week is definitely good. I weighed in last Friday at 172, and actually didn't blow it all over the weekend.

Weighed in today at 171! Those 160's are getting so close I can taste it! And because of that...I'm not as motivated to go into this weekend and mess up any progress I've made. It's a holiday weekend and I will do some drinkin' and eat some good food (mostly some BBQ meat/protein), but I'll show restraint because I'm so close to getting to the lowest I've weighed in who knows how long. 165 was the lowest. Let's see if I can reach that, and even lower!

I do not know if we hit our goal or not. Instead of "Oh My God!!" she said, "You guys look awesome."
Does that count? You guys vote.

As of This past Friday (I've made that my weigh in day to motivate me going into the weekend) I hit those 160's! I was 169. It seems I've gotten into a pattern of dropping about a pound a week, which I think is a pretty healthy pace. Continuing to press on!

Hope you guys are continuing to fight the good fight!
