While the layout and some attractions are different from what can be found in WDW, I've always found DCA's overall atmosphere to be much more in line with the WDW parks than DL. The expansive walkways, unique atmosphere entertainment, and grand vistas give it that wide open vacation feel that I associate with WDW's larger parks. DL is full of cozy nooks, charming buildings, and details, which are harder to find in WDW, even if a lot of the attractions in the park are similar And I agree that Roger Rabbit is one of DL's best kept secrets! It's probably the best darkride in the resort, but is often overlooked because of its out of the way location
Yes, and RR has one of the best queues of any Disney attraction, anywhere, ever (yes, even better than the Indy queue). So good that I never bother with FP for RR. In fact, one time, even though it had been many years since my pass had expired (meaning that "time is money"), RR had a shutdown while I was in the queue, and I was one of the people who stuck around (they eventually turned the queue special effects and audio back on), and just walked around the empty queue while I waited, experiencing and re-experiencing favorite scenes.
I don't know if there is anything I specifically skip on purpose, but I rarely do Tarzan. My least favorite is Autopia though!
I tend to skip a large number of rides these days, mostly because I've done everything many times by now and am selective in how I spend my time. However, there are a few I would probably skip no matter what such as Autopia, Astro Orbiter, Dumbo, Mad Tea Party, and Roger Rabbit. At DCA, I would skip Bug's Land rides, Jumpin' Jellyfish, Midway Mania, Mater's Junkyard, and Luigi's new thing.
I feel really bad about this, I haven't been on the canoes for probably 20 years. I need to visit that old friend.
