At least 10 police officers were shot in Dallas by a sniper, possibly two. Four have died, according to reports.

What is wrong with us? I don't want black men killed in traffic stops. I don't want cops gunned down by cowardly snipers while they're trying to do their job and offer crowd control at a protest, I don't want children in schools or worshippers in churches gunned down. None of us wants any of this, and yet it keeps happening.

F the NRA and screw your guns. Guns are the constant. They are a huge part of the problem.

In all my 45 years, I've never felt so uncertain, so sick about what's in store for America's future than right now.

I mean seriously, where does it end!?

Following this is bananas. There are people with unreserved glee delighted that the shooter appears to have been a black man who said he wanted to shoot white people. It confirms their belief that Black Lives Matter is to blame, even though every single prominent BLM activist has spoken out against the shooting. "Don't blame all cops!" is quickly followed by "All of BLM has blood on its hands!" Then there's the "I bet you're happy now" people.

It is genuinely disturbing how many people have the emotional intelligence of a five year old in this country.

The shooter was a trained military sniper who served in the Middle East.

Where the heck are all the media pundits blaming PTSD?

    Oh. I forgot.

    He. Was. Not. White!

I was, thankfully, out of radar range for the week. But then someone showed up and said her police officer husband could not join us as he had to do round the clock crowd control in Seattle. We got a very limited explanation of why. I have not had time to get caught up so cannot really comment. I do know that this is really scaring me.

My husband and I discussed this on the way home.
