Those AP prices are ridiculous and would kill the program stone dead in my opinion. As they say in the article, they're just too expensive compared to elsewhere in Europe and the benefits simply don't justify the cost.

If they're putting new furniture out at Colonel Hathi's, does that mean it might operate more regularly? I think that was one of the restaurants that's closed more than it's open

I'm impressed that the parade route speakers will all be independent of each other. As far as I know, all the other parks still use zones, so this will be a big step forward

Disney APs in the US are much more than what you would pay for other parks. Most regional parks have some sort of annual/season pass that's only marginally more than a single day ticket. That said, DLP has always struggled with attendance, so having a huge jump in AP prices probably won't help with that; it's a big gamble when the situation is so precarious to start with

Hopefully, because the theming of the restaurant is great. I wish it still would be the Explorer's Club.

I didn't know that the soundsystem was in need of a replacement. Since you think it's a big step moving forward, it must be good.

While they might internally play with these high numbers, but I can't see it happening.

The Spirit over on WDWMagic is reporting that both WDSP and DL in Anaheim are going to get new Star Wars fireworks/projections shows, somewhat similar to the one that recently opened in WDW

He claims that the reason they're doing them in that park is because the rules regarding pyro and the surrounding towns gives them more leeway WDSP due to the location, but that seems odd since it's really not that far from DLP. Regardless, it would seriously alter crowdflow patterns through the resort, similar to when DCA opened World of Color. Assuming DLP keeps Dreams (or some similar type show), it could really help distribute crowds in the evenings

While I'm all for a big nighttime show in WDSP, it seems strange to have a Star Wars attraction in one park and the Star Wars fireworks in the other. I'm sure there are all sorts of logistical reasons for it, but it doesn't make a lot of sense from a guest perspective, other that simply to sell 2-park tickets (like Universal Orlando's Harry Potter stuff in 2 parks)

EDIT: I just realized that this information was in the Gazette photo update (including a projection test on TOT), but I couldn't figure it out from the French text. Knowing the rumor separately, it seems like that's what they're saying as well

I don't care that there isn't any Star Wars related stuff inside WDSP. The fireworks show would be odd with the castle, and so it fits much better into WDSP. That also means they have to keep the park open late and WDSP looks nice after dark with all the neon.

It's taken a long time, but Fantasia Gardens looks great on a bright sunny day like that. The colored lights in the fountains at night are a nice touch too (though I have no idea if those are new or not)

I was disappointed when I discovered that the Adventure Isle refurbishment won't be complete by my visit next month (so soon!) but it seems like all of these projects are turning out really well. It's just a shame I'll be there when so much is down

From the "misleading headlines" portion of the newspaper, there are currently stories circulating that DLP was evacuated due to a suspicious package. As best I can tell, the package was at the Marne La Vallee train station, which was evacuated (with alternate bus service available) and no real impact to the parks. But this seems like one of those developing stories that will get corrected as time goes on

The park was not evacuated. A train station near by was but the park remained open. The alert has now been scaled down.

I left the resort this morning so missed the drama, but I can't say I'm disappointed.

It wouldn't surprise me if WDSP is fine for fireworks. I know Lake Disney is ok as they used to hold the Guy Fawkes fireworks there.

    Fantasia Gardens is looking great.

Adventureland is currently virtually pointless with so much closed.

As far as I can tell it was just a misplaced package. Best to be careful though. I will say security at Sequoia Lodge appeared more rigorous than it was in practice. When I went to check in they scanned me and my small bag, but I then went back to the car for our luggage and they didn't check any of that.

There's some interesting information there. It's a shame no new attractions are being planned, but there's lots happening to the existing ones.

It all seems to be moving in the right direction...

Honestly I prefer a renovated and good looking resort over new rides. There's enough to do for a couple of days. I'm quite happy with Star Tours II.
