I've taken a step back (only 2 pounds back though...still under 140), but I have been cheating an awful lot so it's time to jump back onto the wagon to eat a little more responsibly. It doesn't help that my coworkers brought in doughnuts and muffins today...maybe I'll run a little further to catch up to my wagon tomorrow. ;)

That can be soooooooooooo hard. Don't they understand??!!??

We just came back from 5 days at Camp Pikanosee. 11 families and 30 kids of assorted ages. By the scale this AM it looks like the hiking offset the marshmallows and evening wine. (After a day with the kids most of us found a little extra indulgence necessary around the campfire.) I am hovering around 135. Like you; I just do NOT want to see 140 ever again!

Well, we had two major slip-ups.! After camp we drove to the coast and shared a huge seafood platter. All deep fried! Then one night when we were all very tired we ordered pizza and had three pieces (the 3rd slice was dessert:rolleyes:). When we got home I was up almost 4 pounds (but still under 140;)). I have been down a pound every morning so I figure most of it was water and bloat. We seem to be back on track and I bought a boatload of veggies yesterday to get a vat of soup going.

I have yet to get back on the scale since my slip ups. I should do so in order to keep myself responsible for the not so hot eating choices I make from time to time. My goal for the rest of the month is no more treats at work, and no eating out for lunch. It should be doable, right?

Keep up the great work @iamsally! We're all going to flounder and get the yummy food that we truly do enjoy from time to time. It's just important to jump back on the wagon after we splurge a little bit. :)

Yeah, at least it was real food, sort of, and not sugary junk.
I really hate the scale when I know I have faltered; but I think of it as my "punishment" and force myself to face it. I was 135.4 yesterday and today so I feel like I am getting an honest weight now. My current goal is to be somewhere (anywhere) in the 102's by my class reunion in September. It will only be doable if I get really serious.
(soup is simmering on the stove as I type):)

YIKES!! 102's? That would be quite a loss. And really be skinny.
Figure folks realize I meant 120's.

120 definitely sounds more reasonable than 102!! :D

Last Friday I weighed in at 169 again. My trend of losing about a pound a week stopped last Friday. I was kinda bummed and starting to think that I MAY have bottomed out on weight loss with my current lifestyle. I MAY have to make some additional changes to diet if I want to keep losing. UGH! I don't like that. I have not made any other changes this week, so we'll see how my weigh in looks tomorrow.

It is common to sit at a weight for a while after a loss. Sometimes I will do that for a week or two and then suddenly drop again. Sometimes you have to "trick" your body by changing up the food and exercise.
I think Rod and I have reset our metabolisms as we are hovering at our lower weights and not gaining. The big thing now is exercise. While we were gone to MI and WA we had forests and mountains in which to hike. We live in the Flatlands where walks are not only boring but HOT! The gym with the AC is the best bet but we have to work it back into our schedule.

Well, my weight is about the same as when we left for Seattle. But I was easily able to button a pair of shorts that I could not fasten before we left. If things are rearranging; I am down with that.o_O

Well, we both have been hovering around the weight we were when we got back from WA. For me that is the mid 130's. While I am very pleased not to have gained; I know it is time to step it up a notch. Especially if I want to see the 120's before my class reunion which is only 5 weeks away. A pound a week will do it so it is not an unreasonable goal.
Got the veggies for a new vat of soup and have to really ration the chocolate and wine (our only indulgences).

Keep up the great work @iamsally ! I haven't stepped on the scale for a while because I have been doing some comfort eating for the past week since my grandma passed. I haven't been eating THAT bad, but my wine intake has increased just a smidge. I am planning on getting back with the program after the weekend when all of the family stuff fades a bit.

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

I have been staying right at 169. I bounced up a couple pounds recently, but was able to get back down to 169 again and have stayed there since. My workout routine has stayed consistent with 4 to 5 days a week and maintaining my eating with restraint. If I step things up, I can go down further, but I think I'm kinda good with my weight now. If anything, I want to see more progress in my weight lifting and muscle building.

Here's to maintaining a healthy lifestyle....whatever that looks like for each of us.

I am so sorry for your loss. At those times the tempting food just calls to me. Take it easy on yourself.

Thank you for your well wishes all. It truly means a lot to me. I'm not worried about what I am currently eating, but I'm still watching those portions.

I reluctantly weighed in today to find that I am still at 169. I have been very consistent (more aggressive even) in the gym, but I feel like I have been less disciplined with eating. Thankfully I'm not gaining weight! Whew! I think I'm ready to start up a diet that's more strict so that I can see some more weight loss and better results in muscle gain. Not sure I can be that disciplined...I'll keep you guys posted! :)

Hang in there:confused:. I too have exercised everyday; even when we do not make it to the gym. I have been super careful with my food. Last night we went to a concert and had to park a long way away so we got in two good walks. I ate 2 thin pieces of pizza and a cookie. My weight was 135.4 this AM. Up over a pound from yesterday. I know it is just a fluctuation; probably water retention from the pizza, but it is time to be seeing an actual permanent loss:mad: I am not giving in though. I am going to try to stay off of the scale for 4-5 days. If I can get to 132 it will be the lowest I have been in 10 years!

It's been a while for me since posting last... I too am trying to stay committed to a fitness and healthy eating routine. I just recently got married, and for the past two years or more I have endeavored to be in the best shape of my life. I am, but there is so much more potential. So now I am operating in a mindset of "lifelong health and wellness". I'm 5'5" and weigh 139 lbs. I lift weights, so am building muscle, but I would like to loose enough of the fat to see some definition. Anyways, there is no specific timeframe I am trying to meet, I just want to live my life with my overall health as a major focus.

That is what is most important.
But right now I have a class reunion coming up and I want a new dress and I will not buy a size 12! I also had a little bit high cholesterol so I really want to take off 10 more pounds and have it checked again. My cholesterol has always been perfect:mad:
