Don't tell me.. let me guess... You're the best skull throne builder that there ever was, just ask anyone.
That's more because the board is back to being near-dead. My post above was the only non-spam for 26+ hours.
Well, I've gone back to mostly not visiting BECAUSE of the amount of spam. An obvious pattern has been established where someone should be checking first thing in the morning to clean up spam (and probably at some other point during the day 2). Since that isn't happening, I'm left with the feeling, "if they don't care, why should I care?"
The board has always been prone to dramatic exaggeration -- saying that 3-6 spam posts a day is a big problem is nothing but that. If we were posting our old volume of thousands/day, we'd barely notice a few spams. I'd kill to only get 10 per day in e-mail. I was getting 250 recently. and now I'm late, gotta jam.
On my dash to being 15 minutes late X-( I realized how even 1 spam a day is a big problem. After enough time goes by, Doobie newbies are going to see almost nothing but spam on the first page of the discussion areas. It ensures the board's death which is odd considering all the work that upgrading the board took him.
When the new board opened it was great to see Doobie acting posting and participating. Now the board is back to no moderators again and no Doobie. The one moderator hasn't bothered to log in since June! What's with that? Everyday there are at least two new spam posts. Please do something about these. Assign a moderator that will actually VISIT the board. It only takes minute for a moderator to delete them.
Disney Dining had an entire page of spam. I went to the 2nd page this morning to bump threads that actually belonged there.
Doobie was last on no later than a month ago. Moderation basically stopped, what, 4 years ago? The board was spamless and still as lifeless a few months ago as they are now. I can't blame spam, but it isn't helping.
Kyle hasn't been on the board since June and hasn't bothered to post anything since May. He needs to be removed and let someone that cares take over.
I'm deleting out the spam posts. I've removed them from Disneyland and WDW. I'm working on the rest of the site.
I've gone though and deleted all the spam as of right now. I see them as deleted. How do you guys see them? I'm clearing out the 181 moderator reports that are in the queue.
