    That is the scariest looking mascot ever! I got to agree. It needs to be redesigned. It's like a furries nightmare!

    Um, the cheerleaders are welcoming, the mascot should be threatening at that level.

    I always though Duffy was from Five Nights at Freddy's.
    My nine year old is obsessed with that game even though he has never played it. Somehow he knows all about it.

    Ever notice the difference between baseball bird and football birds? Baseball has Orioles. Cardinals. Blue Jays. Small, delightful, "glad to see one" birds befitting that gentler, pastoral game.

    Football has Falcons. Eagles. Seahawks. Large birds of prey. (And yeah, yeah, Cardinals too, but that's just a hangover from their St. Louis days when the city fathers couldn't think of another name for its team, a la the old NY Giants in both sports).

    Ah, but baseball is a gentlemanly sport, where football is a manly sport. Typically baseball teams don't have 'fightsongs' while football teams do...

    I loved George Carlin's bit on the difference between them.



    I was a huge Carlin fan and always meant to write to him and offer him my bird observation that he could incorporate into it, no charge. Ah, well.
