Usually, you can buy the mug with a special drink, or just the mug separately. My friend has had luck getting her AP discount when buying the mugs without a drink, because then it counts as merchandise, not a beverage.

So the guy selling the mugs doesn't have them in his possession? It sounds like he is taking orders, will go to Trader Sam's and have a few cocktails, buy the mugs and then ship them to those who ordered them. And he's making a profit doing it. That guy is my hero.

So the original shipment sold out yesterday, but there are more coming. And rumors that WDW will also be receiving some, but no date yet.

I just heard a rumor that Disneyland's Trader Sam's got their new (final?) shipment in last night.

Is there anybody in the Anaheim area that would be willing to check for me...and purchase one for me for a "small" markup (rather than the crazy ebay markup)?

I'd be willing to pay the $30 for the mug plus cost of shipping (probably around $10?) plus another $10-15 for your troubles.

And you're welcome to drink the beverage yourself. ;)

    Any takers? :)

Yes, they have the mugs, and from what people are saying these are no longer limited, and that they may be around for awhile as just a new mug in the repertoire (at DL, no word on if WDW will ever restock); not just a Halloween style. So prices on Ebay are dropping.

That is exciting news....is the ongoing potential availability still a rumor at this point or has there been official word from Disney?

Not confirmed, not that Disney confirmed anything about them the first time around. There is a Trader Sam's Group on Facebook and someone said that in this 2nd batch they received 3000 mugs (and are already down to about 300) but that the design will be around for awhile. The glaze color might change, however.
