Sometimes, these live action remakes are a bit of a one trick pony. Once you see the characters and think 'oh yeah, they look like their cartoon version' it's over. See 'Popeye' or 'The Flintstones' for examples. Fortunately, 'Beauty and the Beast' has a good script and great songs, so here's hoping.
Now the "Robin Hood" remake, that's going to really be something. Photorealistic Lady Kluck ... Can't wait.
