Those in the Los Angeles area might be interested in a concert just announced by the Golden State Pops orchestra in San Pedro. They are doing a concert on October 29th featuring a collection of Disney's Silly Symphony cartoons with accompaniment by the live orchestra. I believe this is the same concert that was featured as part of D23 last year (the primary conductor of the GSPO was the conductor of that concert), but this is a great opportunity for those that didn't attend that or would like to see it again. Disney in Concert: A Silly Symphony Celebration Tickets aren't on sale yet, but I presume they will be soon.
Sounds fun! Given some of the more unusual sounds that made their way into the Silly Symphonies, it would probably be a lot of fun to keep an eye on the auxiliary percussion during the concert to see what sort of weird and wacky "instruments" they play
