I recently clicked on a heading above the forums saying that I had two new messages. Assuming it was some kind of LP feature I clicked on it a brought up that detestable spam that locks up your computer and says you need to call a certain number to have dangerous spyware removed. The only way to get out is to do a hard shutdown. I don't know if moderators have any control over the google messages displayed, but if you do it would be appreciated if you could keep it from appearing.

    Thanks.

I never see ads on this site but I know they are there. Doobie's ISP inserts ads into the forum and we don't have control over them. I would suggest putting in an ad blocker extension on your browser. Adblocker Plus is the one I use for Chrome.

Another one appeared today that I suspect is the same thing. "Three people unfriended you" with an indication to click to see who they are. Doobie's ISP needs to do a better job of checking out what they accept.

That happened to me on another forum. Thank goodness curiosity did not get the better of me; I ignored it. (I mean actually ignored it; I did not click on anything.;))
