Stuck deep in the bowels of Pirates of the Caribbean for 21/2 hours. I am not exaggerating; we timed it.
Why so long? I take it that was an evac? Isn't the point of an evac to get everyone out as quickly as possible?
Wow...that is a LONG time to be stuck on PoC. I don't think anybody likes the ride THAT much to be stuck on it that long.
It was an evac and the folks in front of us got out right away as they could just step up on the edge. We could have walked to the next boat and then gotten out but they would not let us. There was the wait while they tried to get it going. Then they evacuated who they could. Then they had to wait for orders to put on hip waders and push the boats. That is what took the longest. And the whole time my 1yo grandson had a poopy diaper. We were among the first to get off so there were some stuck much longer than we. It was Christmastime and I got the folks singing carols and laughing. That was great for the 1st half hour. Then we all started getting bored and hungry and such. The saddest part was for poor William, my then 3yo grandson. We were taken backstage and there were lockers and vending machines and such. He started crying hysterically, "WE'RE NOT IN DISNEYLAND ANYMORE!!!!!" It was quite a job to get him calmed down.
Great picture. Love the drunk-face Goofy and phenq uk the original Peter Pan ride. Today is my lucky day to find your great website online, awesome!
Sounds awful. Especially the poopy diaper! If I sat there for that long, I would be needing a diaper. While it's kinda cool that you get to see a back stage area, it wrecks the magic. One Christmas, we were forced to flow behind the buildings of Main Street in order to leave the park.
I HATE that! I have a certain pattern with my visits and leaving down Main Street is part of that. I do not want my last memory of a visit to be behind the buildings.
Right? I half expected to see Goofy with his head off, smoking a cigarette. But really, when it gets that busy, it isn't all that magical anymore. I much rather prefer a stroll down Main Street, doing some window shopping, one last look up at Walt's Apt., grab a souvenir, thru the tunnel, and slowly out the gates.
