Sounds like a lot of neat stuff! Is it safe to assume that the new nighttime show will use the Dreams infrastructure? That's a really well done show, so it will be a challenge to make sure the new show is at least as good I'm also interested in the new parade. The press release shows the dragon from MK's parade, which would be a neat addition, but the overall information is pretty vague at this point Will the stage show be on the stage next to the castle or in Videopolis? Both venues seem underutilized, so either could work (I also just realized that DLP has 3 major theater spaces, if we also count the Chaparral Theater that hosts rotating seasonal productions. Very impressive, especially compared to most of the US parks! If only they had shows to fill them all)
There a There are few interesting items there. It'll be a shame to see Dreams go as I liked the fact that it used movies that don't often get seen. I have confidence in what they can do though. On the whole it all feels a bit pick and mix though and not very cohesive. There doesn't seem to be an overriding theme and when anything from "Magic" to "Moments to Remember" are up for grabs it should be fairly easy. I'm glad to see stuff happening and the main park getting some love though.
Interesting to read that Space Mountain Mission 2 is permanently closing for the Hyper Space Mountain overlay. It should be interesting to see a space battle with asteroids and other stuff. How does Star Wars fit in to a Victorian moon shot and all the external theming that goes with it?
That's the problem, it doesn't fit at all, but that's Disney of today. This article sums it up pretty well: 25th Anniversary deconstructed: Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
I'm also sad to see Dreams go, because it was a real winner for DLP and nearly everyone loved that show, but I would rather see something new than an "improved" Dreams.
The more I think about it, the more I agree that Star Wars is a really bad fit for DLP's Space Mountain. With the other versions of the ride, the 'normal' version had very few details to begin with, and most already blended well with the 70's-era aesthetic of Star Wars. DLP's ride has lots of details both outside and inside, and none of them fit the design style of the movies. A very weird choice overall, and I can't help but think it will feel half-baked upon completion (moreso than Mission 2) It's also amazing to think that the generally-lackluster Mission 2 has been around for longer than the original storyline, which is a real shame. Hopefully the original concept will be restored at some point in the future
Is there any credible rumor of the GOTG TOT redo coming to Paris? I noticed that the façade of the building is in terrible shape, with chunks missing (not just the theming) and nets holding it together in several places. It seems reasonable that they will need to do a big exterior refurbishment in the next year or two, and it seems like that could be an easy way for them to tie in to DCA "upgrades" Then again, the park doesn't have a lot of other attractions, so it may need the capacity. If it keeps the existing theme, the ride can remain open throughout the refurbishment, like what's currently happening in DCA
Here's the new brochure for DLP http://media.wix.com/ugd/21bb56_bacc604f65e74717960e483959475d99.pdf And here's the trailer for DLP's 25th Anniversary
I haven't heard or read on any credible fan site about a GOTG romour. However I read somewhere that out Tower is safe for the next years.

Very neat! I really like the videos that DLP has been doing lately; they show some neat things, and help to show how the park really is a 24-hour operation, even though guests are only there for part of the time They showed the dragon float from WDW's parade again. It was included briefly in an earlier promo, but I thought it might have been a mistake. I guess DLP will get its own version; it's a neat float, and should mesh well with the European style of DLP's other parade floats
Sorry, I've not been around much lately guys... I have been lurking I just haven't had much to add to the conversation. Everything I've seen so far has me really excited for the 25th anniversary. I'm hoping to go over in September for the 25th anniversary of my first ever trip. I can't believe where the time has gone. I don't think in my wildest dreams back then would I have imagined the adventure my first trip to a Disney park would have begun.
Take a look at the 25th Anniversary merchandise. Des Étoiles plein les Yeux avec le merchandising des 25ans de Disneyland Paris! I'm pretty sure I will get the book!
Looks like a lot of really nice stuff! I never really thought about how much effort goes into redecorating stores and their windows for various events, but it makes sense that it's all centralized and planned in advance. I had just sort of assumed that each location did their own thing however they wanted On the EuroDisneyland map, it looks like one of the attractions in Discoveryland is called CineMagique. I can't read the labels (#13) to see where it was, but I'm assuming it was the 3D movie theater. Interesting that the name wasn't used much, and was later recycled into the park next door. And even though it was a very strong park when it opened, it's surprising to see how much was added in the first few years
Source: Disneyland Paris On this high resolution picture CineMagique appears to be the HISTA building. So @FerretAfros you are right, that's the 3D movie.
Doing some research, it looks like that was the name that was used during the early days of Captain EO, similar to the "Magic Eye Theater" name given in Anaheim. Coincidentally, the sunburst marquee design was copied for Anaheim's 3D theater entrance during it's HISTA conversion as part of the TL98 project It looks like the Cinemagique name was removed at some point during Captain EO's run. By the time HISTA debuted in Paris, that portion of the sign was used for the film's name
