Then again, you could argue that it didn't make sense to put a theme park about California there for the very same reason...

We were up there a couple of weeks ago and Disney Springs was just hopping with people. They need to get the other phase open just to make the place more walkable.

A new holiday experience is coming to DS. First Look: A New Holiday Experience Coming to Disney Springs
That looks pretty neat, and I'm curious to see how it will pan out. It's been said that this is a test for what they can do with drones in the parks (beginning with the next version of Illuminations in a year or two), so it will be fun to see what they come up with. I'm a little concerned about how much noise they'll make, but I imagine they'll be far enough away from guest areas that it won't be too noticeable, especially with a soundtrack It does seem strange that they're debuting this in Disney Springs, where there's no admission fee, during the Christmas shopping season which should be their busiest time of the year. Perhaps it's not doing as well as they had hoped...
Hmm. I visited DS for about an hour, my last day at WDW. Nothing really interested me about the place, at least not enough to make me want to return. After hunting around for a place to grab lunch before I had to meet my DME bus, and seeing the line at Earl of Sandwich, I caught the first bus back to my hotel, and got lunch at the food court. I miss Adventurers (my favorite "library" show there was Samantha's Cabaret, even though I only saw it once). And I also miss the Comedy Warehouse (even though I only made it there once). The dance clubs could go to <censored>, but I miss the comedy clubs.
I miss the Adventurers Club too. The last time I was able to go there we actually went back twice because the CM's were so much fun, and our bartender was incredible as well. He wasn't tending bar on our second visit, but he ended coming in on his own so we were able to visit with him outside of him working. It was truly a fun experience that I will always remember fondly.
