Disney has hired Alex Ross Perry, the writer-director of the Sundance indie Listen Up Philip. The focus will be Christopher Robin as an adult, which brings him back to A.A. It was interesting how they took familiar characters and added completely new twists to them. The White Rabbit in DL's Parade of Dreams (for the 50th) was even on rollerblades, which I believe was a throwback to the old Alice show

I think it would be creepy as F having a human interacting with costumed characters in a movie.

Milne lifted it straight from the woods that he used to walk in Ashdown Forest - I can't see why they would CGI it to death. This one is almost as much of a head scratcher at the Dumbo thing. I'm also confused that it might be labelled "live action" when there is only one human character! It sounds like it might join all of those other wonderful CGI hybrids like The Smurfs, Yogi Bear and Garfield. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek. I don't get the hate for Pooh. Milne created a wonderful world and the stories are up there with the greatest childrens' stories ever written. I've never been fond of the Americanisation of the characters that Disney originally did - I thought the last movie was a lot closer to the style and tone of the books.
Marc Forster will direct “Christopher Robin,” the live-action adaptation of Disney’s classic cartoon “Winnie the Pooh.” Alex Ross Perry is set to write the script. The film will follow Christopher Robin, the little boy who befriends a lovable bear in the celebrated A.A. Milne books, as an adult. According to sources, the film will share similarities with Seth MacFarlane’s fantasy-buddy film “Ted,” but center more on family fun than vulgarities.
