I'm glad that it sounds good, but I just can't get myself excited for this film. Outside of the hardcore Star Wars fans, I've heard almost no buzz about it, which has me worried about its potential box office performance (considering the huge investment it represents). Maybe audiences don't really want a Star Wars movie every year

It's getting about the same amount of buzz as any other movie. I find it strange there isn't a preview at Disneyland for this. Why keep playing Path of the Jedi when you have a ten minute sizzle reel to show? They could at least put in a few new models in Star Wars Launch Bay. I wonder why they are staying quiet on it?

Wow. I guess it's official. I now have precisely zero point none interest in anything new that's related to Star Wars.

Take that as you will ... I'm an eccentric cuss.

Mint Crocodile posted photos from Friday that show a couple Launch Bay display cases with props and costumes from the new film. Not sure when exactly they were added, but it seems like they're not completely ignoring Rogue One. I agree that it's strange that they haven't replaced Path of the Jedi with anything else at this point (or even just shut the theater down)

It's funny they put the imperial landing crew outfit in the Rebels display. Jyn Eros uses it as a disguise so I guess that is why it is there. Too bad they didn't include a full size version of K-2SO.

If there wasn't buzz there is very much now. It's going to get good reviews from critics judging by the reactions on social media. It's also heading for an opening in the 150+ range.

82% on Rotten Tomatoes. Looks like it's darker than typical Star Wars. I can't wait.

A friend of mine went to the premier and here is his spoiler free review:

    Shawn Crosby:
Rogue One is the movie I always wanted but never knew I needed. I was so moved by its perfectly placed nostalgia and dovetailing with Episode 4 that I was incapable of coherent speech for 15 minutes afterwards; I'd break up with emotion while trying to convey how I felt.

The visuals, score, sets, and costumes are spot on, both recreating and building on the Star Wars universe, and performances are pitch-perfect. Nearly 40 years after being mesmerized by the first one, this one made me feel 10 again in the very best of ways.

I'm going to watch it either Monday or Thursday and I'm already very excited. The reviews over here a re pretty good, although not on the same level like for TFA.

I saw it last night and loved it. It is pretty much the kind of star wars movie that Lucas would never make. It's pretty dark and more adult than the episode movies but still acceptable for kids to see. K2-SO stole the show with the right amount of humor. It had a pretty good story but very convoluted. Lots of good shot outs to the original trilogy and a few cameos. The ending was straight out of Star Wars Battlefront. it does have some flaws and some things that don't make sense that I can't go into them here. Overall a nicely done job and I would love to see more of these kind of star wars movies in the future.

That's good to hear. Honestly I never thought that Disney would be that bold to go in such a direction.

One thing a lot of people complain about is many scenes from the trailer were not in the movie. The movie was over two hours long and I can see why they were cut. They did a good job. It isn't a perfect movie but definitely a lot fun.

Saw it today, and I am amazed at how good it was. Not that I wasn't expecting it to be good. But it surpassed my expectations tremendously.

Just saw it today. For hard core Star Wars fans this is MUST see. Now I have to see "A new hope" again as soon as I can.

Yesterday we finally saw Rogue one in IMAX 3D OV and it was a fantastic movie. I'm not sure yet, but I might like it even better than TFA. I can't wait to watch it a second time, hopefully in 2D OV.

For me the Star Wars Saga starts with Rogue One now and ends with VII. Disney has already put out the same amount of great Star Wars movies like George Lucas did. From his six movies, only two are great.

Saw it last night in 70mm IMAX - no 3-D.

It's a realy good movie. Gorgeous to look at. Some of the war and action sequences were amazing.

I didn't feel as attached to this young heroine as I was in 'The Force Awakens' or her rag tag band of rebels. So as a result, the big moments didn't land for me.

    SEMI-SPOILERS

I really enjoyed seeing the cameos from 'A New Hope' -- and some additional Easter eggs.

Certainly a worthy addition to the 'Star Wars' saga.

I think I do too. It was pretty great.

I saw it on 12/26 and thought it made the events of Star Wars (I'm one of "those" old farts who refuses to call it by it's subtitle) more real in my opinion. At one point I realized that I should quash any feelings I had for any of the characters because I knew it wasn't going to end well for them. I was really surprised at the appearance of a character and how well his role was done as well as the final hand-off to Star Wars.
