Through it all; you will always be Princess Leia.
Thank you for all you gave us Carrie. Rest Peacefully.

I'm very saddened by this loss. Very sudden and shocking. I thought she was way more awesome as herself than she was as Princess Leia, and Princess Leia was pretty awesome.

But I think everyone should give the 2016 thing a rest (and not just because it's three days to go). Our generation is older now, and we're going to be losing "our" entertainers - the ones we grew up with - at a pretty steady clip from now on.

Absolutely agree. Every year that goes by, all of us get another year older. The likelihood that someone we all know, especially a celebrity, dies any given year are absolute. And the older we all get the more likely it is to happen. It's OK to care and to grieve, but, one of the major realities of life is that everyone dies.
    Speaking very quietly... even us!

And word has come in that at 5:39pm this evening Debbie Reynolds succumbed to the stroke she suffered this afternoon. My thoughts and prayers go to Todd, Billie Lourde, and the family members who are not in the spotlight who have lost two amazing women in as many days.
