Park hour changes during summer?

Anyone notice the park hour changes during the summer? Really MK closing at 9pm on a weekend with Wishes at 9pm; it is barely even dark at 9pm in the summer. I am really disappointed as we planned our vacation this summer around MK being open late with extra Magic Hours on Saturday keeping the park open to 2am.

I am afraid they will are up to some sort of money grab to "upcharge" to be in the park late.

Summer is still 6+ months out; the park schedules are very likely to change between now and then. Because of the MyMagic+ system and WDW's reliance on pre-booking everything, they need to post park hours (which then dictate things like restaurant hours) months in advance, but they get revised as the date draws closer. Typically by the time FPs become available 2 months in advance, the hours are more-or-less finalized, and are more in line with what you would expect

They went through a similar dance with the hours for the Christmas season that just wrapped up; by all accounts, the park hours during that period were in line with previous years

Well in the past I know the park hours were accurate at this time. We used the posted hours to help in planning dinner reservations which need to be made in 2 weeks for our summer visit.

I think they are up to something myself.

Looking at some random dates in June, they're showing MK closes at 9:00pm, and DAK closing at 7:00pm. Both Avatar and Rivers of Light (assuming nothing goes terribly wrong with either) should be operational by that point, and both were specifically designed to keep people in the park after it gets dark. Given that it won't even be dark at 7:00 (the water parks are both open until 8:00), I would be absolutely shocked if the hours weren't expanded by summer.

This is just a placeholder until they start more definite scheduling; it's very easy to add park hours as needed, but nearly impossible to reduce them down the line, so they're showing the absolute minimum
