Is there a location in Downtown Disney where you can see the fireworks, maybe hear the music? We won't be entering the park until Monday, but we're in our hotel (off site) Sunday night. There aren't any fireworks during the week. Do any of the DLR hotels or Downtown Disney restaurants provide better views? We only get to the park every 3 yrs or so.

Views from DTD aren't especially good, due to the layout of the area. You may be able to see some high-level pyro from the Tortilla Jo's patio or the second level at Catal, but neither are great. There are usually some people camped out to watch the show from the Esplanade, the plaza between the two parks, but the view isn't spectacular from there either; none of these locations will have music

Depending where you're staying, you could easily have a better view off site than the places mentioned above. If that's not the case, consider going to the Mickey & Friends parking structure and watching from the roof (you can get up there even if you didn't drive). The main launch site is directly in front of the parking structure, and the pyro in the hub will be off toward the right. You'll essentially be watching the show from the side instead of head-on, but that location really gives you a sense of how spread out and complex the show is
