Season of the Force

Despite being visible all over the park, DCA's tower doesn't really have an area with a good unobstructed view of the front; I'm not sure where the audience would go for such an event. The best view is right at the base of the tower, but that's currently obstructed by construction walls and would have guests craning their necks to see

DLP's tower is plopped right beside the main plaza of the park, with lots of open sightlines. The open surroundings look more awkward than DCA's tight confines, but lend themselves to this kind of show perfectly, since there is a ton of open space nearby for a large audience to watch; you could even get a pretty decent view from just outside the park's front gates

 

I think it's a real shame that this show is closing while other elements of the season are staying. It makes me wonder if something might be upcoming at TOT...

 

That will completely mess up their "Hollywood land" area. The entire backdrop at the front of the park is the Tower of Terror. It's kind of their castle. I think they should add detail and repaint it but never make it worst like DCA's version.

 

I hope not. WDSP has a lot of problems, but TOT's theme and location is not one of them. The backlot area next door is ripe for redevelopment, but I think that the main plaza of the park should keep a classic Hollywood feel. TOT's façade desperately needs attention (pieces are literally falling off), which makes me fear that they will use that to justify a redo, but I think it's a bad idea

Then again, if/when the tram tour gets removed (or entrance relocated), I guess the park's entire circulation could change, and TOT might no longer be at the center of things. I still don't think it's a good idea, but it would be slightly less terrible
