ABC Review: "Still Star-Crossed" - LaughingPlace.com Even though I haven't seen anything beyond promo clips, and haven't read the book, either, I think Knight is being a bit too kind here. The very premise is a train-wreck, and I have no doubt that the whirring sound in the background is Shakespeare spinning in his grave.
I've also only seen the ads on TV, but I agree that the show looks terrible. I have to assume that the concept sounded better in the pitch room, since the end result looks like a hot mess Given that it's airing during summer, I have to think that the network has fairly low expectations for it too
