I found this one review online. It seems like a fair review.

I haven't ridden it but it looks like a huge improvement over the original. It looks like a fun time. Too bad the outside is ugly.

I totally understand how you feel. However, the more I think about it the more I can see Disney's point of view. They had to make it look different to let everyone know that this was no longer "tower of terror" and that it was different on the inside.

Well, I did this with 3 teenagers. They rode it first and waited in line for an hour while we others got FP's. They got off and my granddaughter was bubbling over saying that it was wonderful and well worth the wait. Both grandkids agreed it was a great improvement. My granddaughter's boyfriend, who was a Disneyland virgin until this trip, could not compare but called it the best ride ever. So, young people seem to love it.

I will start by saying that the first time my husband and I rode ToT there was no line and we rode it 7 times in a row. We spent over $400 in the shop after.
Whereas, I did not hate the new version; I was less than thrilled. My senses were assaulted with lights and noise. The second version I saw was better and not so abrasive to me as I knew more what to expect. I had no desire to ride it over and over and definitely felt no impulse to spend a bundle on memorabilia. Neither did Rod nor my daughter.

There is obviously and age thing going on here. My grandson did not like the FP line because we missed the story. So when we go back in Sept. we will do the whole line and see if getting the story enhances the experience. It did not seem to have the popularity I was expecting as we could get FP's well into the afternoon.

    Just my :2c:;)
