I was not especially interested in this movie, but this last trailer makes it look really good. It seems like they captured a lot of what made the first one so good; hopefully they don't fall into the traps that the others have Interesting that they're billing it as the "final adventure", but I guess it makes sense considering the age of the franchise and lack of interest in it recently Pet peeve: if they're not going to let the song say "drunken sailor", perhaps they should just pick a different song.
Well, it was billed as "The Final Adventure.... Begins" Meaning it could be the first of a trilogy (or more) of films following this new story line.
Okay...after the newest trailer I am definitely wanting to see it in the theatre when it comes out. It looks to be a fun ride!
Source: LP.com And the young man's name is Henry Turner. So I guess Will is his father, like I expected it after I've seen him the first time. He looks very similar to Bloom.
I'm guessing it'll be little more than a cameo, but I'm pleased otherwise they'd have had to come up with some convoluted reason why she isn't seen. I'm seeing it listed as Dead Men Tell No Tales again here in the UK so who knows what it's called here!
There was an extended trailer/scene from the movie attached to my showing of Guardians. It showed the pirates walking on water and was really enjoyable.
We have just returned from the cinema watching POTC5 in IMAX 3D OV. The movie didn't get the best reviews, but I loved it. It is not a perfect movie, but I laughed a lot and found it very entertaining. For me it is the best one after Part One. Now after seeing the post credits scene I'm hoping for a sixth film. If there will not be another Part, this movie closes the circle to the Curse of the Black Pearl and provides a perfect ending for the franchise.
I agree with everything you've said. I'd love another movie, but I feel Will and Elizabeth's story is done for the time being and I'd like to see them move away from them for a bit. What was alluded to at the very end seemed a bit wearisome to me - especially so soon. All in all though I really enjoyed it.
