EXCLUSIVE: Danny DeVito is negotiating to join Tim Burton’s circus in Disney’s live-action rendering of Dumbo which is casting up now. DeVito is trying to work out schedules on his Broadway turn to join Eva Green in the story of the beloved baby circus elephant with the big, floppy ears. If things work out, DeVito would play Medici, the man who runs a smaller circus that gets acquired by the evil big top circus villain Vandemere. Disney’s live-action Dumbo remake has officially added Game of Thrones‘ DeObia Oparei to the cast. The English actor is best known for his role on Thrones as Areo Hotah, captaining Prince Doran Martell’s guards. So they're turning this simple little story about this sweet baby elephant and turning it into a complicated psychological epic that has nothing to do with the original story. And add in some scary images to boot! Have graphic depictions of animal abuse! So brilliant! NOT!!!! "Water for Elephants" really scarred me. Circuses are sadistic.
